Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport located at the Anatolian side of Istanbul, Pendik/Kurtkoy is 40 km away from Kadikoy, 12 km away from Pendik, and 50 km away from Taksim.

Our airport offers easy access, via a direct link to TEM highway.

Besides private car, multiple options are available to the traveler via intermodal transport; including taxis, rent-a-car, public bus, private bus (HAVAS), sea bus and train.


Public Transport Alternatives;

IETT Public Buses
Public buses run from Kozyatagi, Bostanci and Kadikoy on the Asian side and 4.Levent, on the European side to Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport.

HAVAS Buses
Daily bus services are being run from Kozyatağı and İzmit on the Asian side and Taksim, on the European side to Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport.

Railroad and Sea

Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport is both 14 km away, from Pendik Sea Bus Port and Pendik railway station. You can reach to the city centre by using the Haydarpasa-Gebze suburban train or by taking the ferry from the seabus port.

INTERNATIONAL LINES

Reservation Confirmation
Reservations should be confirmed 72 hours before the flight.

Reservation Changes
For reservation changes please check with your airline company.

Check-in Transactions
Ticket and baggage transactions start 2 (two) hours before and ends 35 minutes before takeoff time.

Free Baggage
Free baggage claim applied for the economy class passengers is 20 kg., for the business class passengers is 30 kg.


DOMESTIC LINES

Check-in Transactions
Ticket and baggage transactions start 1.5 (one and a half) hour before and ends 30 minutes before takeoff time. Turkish Airlines (THY) ends check-in transaction 45 minutes before takeoff.

Reservation Changes
For the reservation changes made less than 12 hours before takeoff time; Airline Company charges an additional 30 % of the ticket price.

Cancellation

If the ticket is cancelled latest by 12 hours before the scheduled flight time the ticket price is paid in full. If the ticket is cancelled less than 12 hours from the scheduled flight time only 70 % of the ticket price is paid back.

Free Baggage
Free baggage claim applied for the economy class passengers is 20 kg., for the business class passengers is 30 kg. Please note that baggage allowance may change depending on the airline company.

Lost and Found
In case the baggage couldn’t be found at the end of your journey, please contact the Lost & Found Office at the airport.

Foreign Exchange
For currency exchange other than banks you can refer to foreign exchange office which serves 7 days 24 hours a week and situated in International Terminal Hall A. Please dial +90 588 06 80 for the change office.


Wireless Internet
TURK Telekom A.S. offers wireless internet service at Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport.
Internet access is available either by credit card payment via TTwinet service website or by obtaining a pre-payment card from Turk Telekom A.S. dealers.

The pre-payment cards are also available at the Post Office in the International Terminal Arrivals Hall.

Telephone Services
In the international and domestic terminals, there are totally 10 numbers of telephone booths which 8 of them works with magnetic card, 2 of them with credit card and smart card.

Baggage Trolleys
The baggage trolleys are both available at the international terminal A and B entrances, domestic arrivals terminal and domestic departures terminal. Baggage trolleys are fee free.
Attendants are ready to serve who are in need of porter services at the terminal entrances. Porter service is a paid service.

The Post Office
The post office located at the check-in hall of the international terminal provides service between 08:30 - 16:30 Monday to Friday.

Wheel Chair Service
Free wheel chair service is provided to restore the mobility of the sick, disabled and the elderly in both the international and domestic terminal.

Smoking Area
In the airport smoking in common places is forbidden. As a new law has been enforced regarding smoking in the closed places
 
Baby Care Room
Baby-care rooms are available in the Departures halls of both, the International and the Domestic Terminals.

Handicapped Toilets
Handicapped toilets are available in international terminal A and B halls and domestic departures terminal.

The Passenger Baggage Service
For international flights, it is recommended that you get to the Airport two (2) hours before the scheduled departure time and For domestic flights before one and a half (1,5) hour.

You should get your boarding pass; for the International flights, latest by 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time and for the domestic flights, latest by 30 minutes (45 min for THY domestic flights) before the scheduled departure time as the check-in counters will be closed after that time for on-time flight.

The baggage allowance rule usually applied by the airlines and International Aviation Association (IATA), is as 20 kilos for the economic class Passengers. Please check with your airline company.

Please make sure that your carry-on baggage must also be labeled by the Passenger services staff while check-in transactions.

The Passengers Who Require Special Companion
Unaccompanied Minor: An unaccompanied minor will be accompanied by a passenger service staff at Sabiha Gökçen Airport’s.  Children younger than 12 and elder than 7 can air travel upon their parents’ permission.

An unaccompanied child can only travel after the reservation is confirmed and the authority certificate is filled.

After check-in transactions are completed the certificate is to be delivered with the all documents to Passenger Services Chief at flight departure time.
Arriving unaccompanied minors are met by Passenger Services staff and delivered to their caretakers.

Pregnant Passengers
Although the application of this restriction may change depending on the airline company usually pregnant travelers up to the 28th week of pregnancy is accepted to flight.
Airline companies may ask the passengers traveling beyond their seventh month of pregnancy to bring along a letter not older than 7 days from their medical professional stating that the pregnancy is free from complications, and the expected due date. It should also state that the pregnant passenger is fit to travel.


Handicapped and Sick Passengers
The acceptance for transportation of sick, disabled and handicapped passengers is restricted in the interest of their own safety and that of other passengers.

The Passenger should bring along a report from their own doctor or obtain a report from airport doctor stating “no risk is involved for their air travel” and declare the report during the check-in transactions. The Passengers that need special care can fly with their companions when necessary.

Although a report is not necessary for handicapped passengers, if the person needs special care and it is risky to travel alone can be accompanied. Upon the airline companies’ or passengers’ request wheel chair and stretcher is provided for the handicapped and sick Passengers.

Lost or Damaged Baggage
On arrival, if your baggage does not appear or is damaged, there is no need to hassle; on applying to the Left Baggage Office or Ground Handling Staff, they shall make the necessary arrangements for you.

What you have to do is, just to give the correct details (the type, size, and colour). The International Baggage Recovery System shall be tracking down your baggage.

If you are a member of an exclusive airline programme or arrangement, do not forget to mention this on applying.
